ARCLIGHT UNCOVERS
“GREECE: SECRETS OF THE PAST”
IN TV AND RADIO ADS

Hollywood, CA — Arclight Productions recently produced both television and radio commercials for the new IMAX® theatre film Greece: Secrets of the Past. The spots were commissioned by MacGillivray Freeman Films and mark the 11th giant screen movie for which Arclight has created advertising, publicity or home video content.

In developing the broadcast ad campaign, Arclight focused on the film’s appeal as an archeological adventure into the distant past. The :30 TV spot features stunning views of Greek ruins, breathtaking aerials and thrilling CGI that puts viewers in the middle of Santorini’s massive eruption and on the steps of the famed Parthenon. Dynamic editing and sweeping music convey the impact of the giant screen experience and present the film as “a modern detective story set in the ancient world.”

The :60 and :30 radio spots follow a similar treatment and, in addition, bring the film’s lead archeologist to the soundtrack. His earnest voice tells of buried secrets “that would open the door to a lost world” and prepares us for a remarkable journey back in time to the birthplace of Western Civilization.

Greece: Secrets of the Past premiered in IMAX® theatres and other giant screen cinemas around the world beginning in February 2006. The film is produced and distributed by MacGillivray Freeman Films and presented by Alex G. Spanos in association with the Canadian Museum of Civilization and Museum Film Network with major funding from the National Science Foundation.
