ARCLIGHT-PRODUCED IMAX® PROMO
FEATURED AT CIRCUIT CITY STORES

Hollywood, CA — A promotional video produced by Arclight Productions for the new IMAX® film Journey Into Amazing Caves is receiving national exposure during the month of May in 600 Circuit City stores across the United States. The five-minute Featurette was produced for the Caves Electronic Press Kit and uses interviews, film clips and behind-the-scenes footage to promote the giant screen experience.

The Featurette is part of Circuit City’s in-store visual entertainment and plays in the electronics department. It is the longest individual segment of a one-hour, looping reel that includes movie trailers, ads and other promotional clips.

According to Patty Collins, Promotions and Media Relations Manager at MacGillivray Freeman Films, the producers of Caves, “Electronic Press Kits are an essential tool in publicizing our films. They guarantee television coverage, and a well-produced Featurette can help showcase the film in unexpected ways as it has in the Circuit City promotion. Arclight has produced a high-quality promo that puts our large format film in front of a mainstream audience.”

Circuit City’s customer traffic in the electronics department alone is estimated at 6-7 million people for the month of May.

Journey Into Amazing Caves debuted in March at IMAX® theaters around the world. It is the third Great Adventure Film® from MacGillivray Freeman Films, following the company’s box office hit Everest and Oscar® nominated Dolphins.
