FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: ARCLIGHT’S “MARINE SCIENCE” Hollywood, CA — Three weeks after receiving a CINDY Award, Arclight Productions has been honored again with the prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Award for its production, Marine Science: Exploring the Deep. Produced as an educational companion to the Academy Award® nominated IMAX® film, Dolphins, the video extends the giant screen experience from the theater into the classroom. Offbeat interviews with marine biologists and dazzling underwater footage combine to create a fun program encouraging students to explore marine science as a career. The video is also a featured bonus on the film’s DVD. The CINE Golden Eagle is the third award bestowed upon Marine Science: Exploring the Deep, which earned a CINDY Award and TELLY Award for excellence in non-broadcast educational programming. Founded in 1957, CINE recognizes the highest quality in film and video production. Its semi-annual competitions involve hundreds of media specialists who judge entries in several moving-image genres. The judging procedure is a multi-stage jury process that determines which productions exhibit excellent filmmaking craftsmanship and are thereby deserving of the coveted CINE Golden Eagle. Past recipients include noted documentary filmmakers Barbara Kopple, Albert Maysles, Ken Burns and many others distinguished for their work with the moving image. | ||
