ARCLIGHT WINS CINDY AWARD
FOR “MARINE SCIENCE” VIDEO

Hollywood, CA — Arclight Productions has been honored with a Silver CINDY Award for its production, Marine Science: Exploring the Deep.

Produced as an educational companion to the Academy Award® nominated IMAX® film, Dolphins, the video extends the giant screen experience into the classroom. Offbeat interviews with marine biologists and dazzling underwater footage combine to create a fun program encouraging students to explore marine science as a career. The video is also a featured bonus on the film’s DVD.

The CINDY is the second award bestowed upon Marine Science: Exploring the Deep, which earned a Telly Award in for excellence in non-broadcast educational programming. It has also achieved Finalist status at the New York Festivals and will next compete in the International CINDY Competition.

CINDY, an acronym for “Cinema in Industry,” began in 1959 as an industrial film competition. Today the CINDY Awards are proudly presented by the International Association of Audio Visual Communicators (IAAVC), a non-profit group representing theatrical, broadcast, non-broadcast, and interactive media professionals throughout the world.
